Ashland, Oregon ShopDragon, an evolutionary software company developing a hosted e-commerce platform designed to
empower small businesses, won an Ignite-style pitch competition, in Eugene, Oregon, giving the company an opportunity to
participate in the Willamette Angel Conference in May 2010, for the chance of receiving a $150,000 investment at that event.
The business-plan pitch competition, held by Smart-ups, required a presentation of the business concept, stage, traction and needs
in fifteen slides timed at fifteen seconds a piece, making each presentation three-and-a-half minutes long. ShopDragon emerged the
winner (by vote of the crowd of over fifty people) amongst a group of five highly professional presentations in such emerging fields as
mobile web application development, immersive online community spaces and social networking ad marketing.
"Each of the companies that participated gave a strong presentation, we feel fortunate to have the vote of confidence from the
people in the audience to go forward and participate in the Willamette Angel Conference next spring." said ShopDragon’s President,
